Objective

Our faculty was founded to train engineers needed in Ceyhan region, which is expected to be a new industrial area within ten years. Programs included in the faculty have been determined with the aim of training engineers considering the need in our country and industrial plants to be founded in Ceyhan. As Adana is closely related to three huge production and trade projects in Turkey, namely Baku-Ceyhan Pipeline, Yumurtalık Free Zone and GAP, it is gradually becoming a city centered in Southeast Anatolia. Ceyhan is the largest district of Adana. Ceyhan Engineering Faculty will make it possible to develop Ceyhan economically and culturally and to train people of the region as engineers needed for the facilities. Departments to be founded in the Faculty are Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Surveying Engineering. Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Surveying Engineering are not available in the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture at Çukurova University. So there are huge deficiencies in these engineering fields and our country needs these fields. Especially there will be a huge demand on these engineering fields in refineries, petro chemistry and energy facilities and docks to be founded in the region. Ceyhan Engineering Faculty will be raising some part of the qualified staff needed in our region.
